About Us

gamehatchy started with a familiar kind of frustration: a browser full of open tabs, ten contradictory opinions about whether a game is worth full price or which graphics card actually matters, and a nagging sense that most of the coverage was really there to sell something. We built this site to be the opposite of that, a calm, specific, honestly tested place to figure out what to play next and how to get the most out of your setup, written by people who actually finish the games, build the rigs, and follow the esports scene themselves.

What we're here to solve

Gaming coverage is noisy. It is full of hype trailers, recycled press releases, review scores that chase outrage, and so-called guides that barely scratch the surface. We cut through that. Every guide is built around a real question people actually ask, whether that is whether a new release is worth your sixty dollars, how to stop being hardstuck in ranked, which GPU makes sense for 1440p, or how to build your first gaming PC without overspending.

What you'll find here

Our guides cover six corners of gaming: game reviews and first impressions, guides and walkthroughs, esports and competitive play, gaming gear and hardware, PC building and setup, and the wider culture and industry behind the games. Each article answers one question clearly, not a vague overview but a usable answer with the reasoning behind it, so you understand the why and not just the what.

How we work

Our writers are players first. They have finished the games on real hardware, built and benchmarked their own PCs, ground out ranked ladders, and followed the competitive scene week in and week out. Review verdicts are grounded in real time with a controller or mouse in hand, hardware guidance in actual testing, and every article is written in plain language and reviewed by an editor before it goes live.

Our content standards

  • Practical and specific, with no filler and no fear of an unpopular verdict.
  • Honest about uncertainty, including when the right answer is that it depends on your hardware, your budget, and the kind of games you love.
  • Written and edited by real people with names, faces, and areas of expertise.
  • Updated as games patch, prices shift, and new hardware lands.

The team

gamehatchy is written by a small editorial team, Marcus Reyes, Priya Nair, Tomas Becker, Devon Clarke, and Yuki Tanaka, each covering the corners they know best, from reviews and the esports scene to gaming gear, PC building, beginner guides, and gaming culture. You will find their bylines and short bios on every article they write, so you always know who is giving you advice and why they are worth listening to.

One important note: our guides are informational and reflect general experience, not personalized technical, financial, or legal advice for your exact hardware or situation. Have a question, a correction, or a story about your own setup to share? We would genuinely like to hear it, so reach us any time at [email protected] or through our contact page.
